Instructor Profile

In 2006, I was living in the United Kingdom when a series of events led me to read a book entitled “Open Your Heart with Kundalini Yoga” by Siri Datta.

I was so engrossed by the contents of this book that I resolved myself, there and then, to follow a set program to see what would happen.

At that time my work situation was quite stressful and I was more than amazed when significant changes came about. Also close friends were commenting on positive physical changes they had observed in me and coined words such as "glow" and "radiance".

Before too long I started to wonder if I could attend a class of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. I scrutinised the book some more and was very excited to find a web site of teachers in the U.K. My disbelief was palpable when I called a number and discovered a class nearby. Needless to say I immediately commenced a weekly class which I adored.

With the year drawing to a close, it was necessary for the family to return to Australia. Once resettled in Orange, I again searched the web for a class to join. The search was futile- there were no Kundalini Yoga classes west of the Blue Mountains!

It was then that I decided to travel to Espanola in New Mexico and train to be a Kundalini Yoga teacher.

In February, 2008, I commenced teaching classes and the famous quote of Yogi Bhajan rings true for me:

“I have come to create teachers, not to gather disciples”.
